Jasmine's Princeton Admissions Story
When I was applying to Princeton early-action, I felt so scared and trapped by the process. Overwhelmed and anxious, I knew that I wanted to do my best, but that my “best” in this process didn’t look like a perfect score on the SAT or any number at all. I was the first person in my family to be born in America. We didn't have many resources. How could I show up to this process and set myself apart in a way that no admissions officer could forget? What does preparation even look like? I led myself through the process, with my sister (Columbia University graduate Class of 2008) on call. I asked myself the most important questions I could ask, because I understood that this game is high-stakes. What did I have to say? How did I want to express myself? This was my one shot. With my future in my own hands, I didn’t want to walk away feeling like I had given anything less than my full truth. I took the risk. I shared stories about my personal growth and my relationship with my grandfather. I led with my heart and decided that I would rather be known and rejected, than not stay true to myself. I was rewarded greatly for this risk. I gained admission to Princeton University early action on November 6, 2012. My life changed. Huge possibility lay before me.Older admissions officers may not have the same approach or style as me. But my admissions experience continues to actively inform the way I work with my students. We are whole, human, and dimensional. Break out of your resume and your stats. Take a risk and discover with me the magic of your story.
From Common App to supplementals, we got you.
At the end of the day, your personal statement is yours. But no one goes the distance alone. If you’ve hired a tutor for yourself or your child before, you know that finding someone who can meaningfully connect and build trust is vital. Someone who can make you laugh and feel good along the way is rare.
Jasmine brings the compassionate vision of an artist, the inspiration and mindset of a mentor, and the analytical eye and precision of an editor. Academics, athletes, artists alike look for mentors and models of success — professionals who are engaged deeply in process, not just product.
Embodying the energetic frequency of deep curiosity, careful determination, and healthy vulnerability, Jasmine creates the space for magic to happen.

Craft a powerful, intimate, and unforgettable narrative
for your admissions readers this season.
Jasmine Wang has written her way all over the world.
Whether it was hunting for the next hot cover story all over Mumbai, India as a Forbes India journalist, studying with creative and cultural powerhouses like poet Claudia Rankine (MacArthur Genius Grant, Chancellor of Academy of American Poets, Guggenheim Grant) and many others during her time as an English major at Princeton, or analyzing and transforming the written word into unforgettable performances as an actor and artist, Jasmine knows not only what it takes to create a powerful statement, but also how to guide and coax anxious, often overworked students into fulfilled and confident applicants who get results.
We live our lives through narrative. Whether we are conscious of it or not, we are constantly creating and building stories about ourselves and the world around us – stories that either empower us to take the next best step and achieve our dreams or stories that keep us chained to limiting beliefs.
Share the story that only you can share.
a few questions
Can you promise me admission into my top schools?
No! This is a human process. Nothing is promised. From the interview to test scores to extracurriculars, there are many factors that go into an admissions committee's final decision. That's why authenticity is the name of the game. You want to know that you left it all on the page. You want to know that what you expressed was genuinely you.
What I can promise you is a positive, supportive experience of self-discovery and unraveling throughout the personal statement process.
"I didn't volunteer with orphans in Zimbabwe or launch a tech startup. My life's been pretty boring. How am I going to find something to write about?"
Your attitude and the way you talk about yourself and your life path are more important than whether you've accomplished some fantastic feat by the time you are 16. That's what I'm here for!
I like to find what makes my client unique and blow it up. I find their superpower and make them aware of it. I'm big on big ideas, big dreams, and authentic messaging. I help my client draw connections between different life experiences or ideas in order to deepen the impact of the narrative.
How long does this process take?
As long as you want it to. I’ve had students come to me more than a year before the college application deadline. I’ve had students come to me with only a week to spare.
